Iced Tea with Lemonade Ice Cubes

About the recipe
This captures all the flavors of an Arnold Palmer — iced tea and lemonade — but the frozen lemonade ice cubes will keep the drink cold without diluting it with water. In fact, as the ice melts, the drink more closely resembles the classic drink. You can always make this with store-bought lemonade and iced tea, but it’s impossible to beat the flavor of homemade lemonade. Feel free to use either sweetened or unsweetened iced tea.
You will need a large silicone ice cube mold for this recipe.
Serves: 2
Hands On Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 8 hours and 30 minutes
Ingredients
2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
4 cups brewed iced tea
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup of the water with the sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Remove from the heat and let cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, stir in the lemon juice and remaining water. Pour into silicone ice cube trays and freeze until solid, at least 8 hours.
Divide the lemonade ice cubes between two large glasses, placing three cubes per glass. Add 2 cups of iced tea to each glass and serve.
