Mignon Faget is one of New Orleans' premier jewelry designers, and has been a celebrated figure in the industry for decades, having launched her first ready-to-wear line in 1969. She was raised in a Creole French family in downtown New Orleans, and has spent her life representing her native New Orleans in her work and philanthropic efforts. In addition to jewelry, the company sells a home line -- MF at Home -- which includes glassware, pitchers, serveware and other home items. Her work is inspired by her environment, oftentimes New Orleans architecture, culture or nature. With the Louisiana collection, Mignon Faget celebrates the culture and traditions of her birthplace in style with a large collection of iconic sterling silver pieces that has grown and evolved since its debut in 1973.
In 2013 she was honored as a Forum35 Art Melt Louisiana Art Legend and has raised over $250,000 for philanthropic efforts including Hurricane Katrina and BP's Deepwater Horizon oil spill relief efforts.
