Mint Julep

Crushed ice
4 sprigs mint
6 ounces bourbon
4 ounces simple syrup
Lime wedges, for garnish (optional)


Fill two rocks glasses or a mint julep cups to the top with crushed ice. Place two sprigs of mint in each glass, then pour 3 ounces bourbon on top. Add 2 ounces of simple syrup to each glass. Stir to combine and garnish with lime wedges, if using. Serve.
