The South's best foodie events in October: Here's The Beef Festival

Here’s the Beef Festival
Oct 5-7; Pulaski, Tenn.
Red meat’s all over the menu at this statewide beef festival. Everything’s dedicated to the sacred cow, whether it’s free beef samples aplenty, the homemade beef and venison Cajun jerky in a competition (you can even enter your own recipe), the farm-to-table steak dinner, the steak and eggs breakfast, or the farm tour, where you can learn how great steaks get to your plate. And for entertainment, of course there’s a 5K run – you might need it – and the lovely “Lookin So Bovine” cattle parade.
