The most wonderful time of the year is filled with sweet treats. We love nibbling on Christmas cookies, but our sweet tooth also loves to indulge in Christmas candy. Across the South, people satisfy their cravings with classics like peppermint bark and candy canes. However, some of the top choices might surprise you — we’re still wondering what reindeer corn is.

You might think that Halloween is the only candy-filled month, but December is surprisingly just as strong. The National Confectionary Association estimates that Americans will spend $1.93 billion on holiday candy. That’s an average of $110 spent per person on candy during this festive season, reports Forbes. Online bulk candy retailer CandyStore.com decided to see what the most popular holiday candy is in each state. The website collected data from its site, surveyed customers and created an interactive map with the top three candy picks from each state
