Our favorite recipes this week include a non-traditional Thanksgiving appetizer, mac and cheese made in a skillet, a Key lime pie with a cranberry twist. It's time to get cooking.
Skillet Bacon Mac and Cheese
This recipe from Kelsey Nixon at the Cooking Channel is the perfect dish for cheese lovers. With three different cheeses in the dish every bite will be full of warm and gooey cheesy goodness. The best part of the dish? It’s topped with bacon. Yum.
Cranberry Brie Bites
Start your holiday party off with these little bites full of holiday flavor. The recipe from Delish brings together brie, cranberry sauce, rosemary and pecans which are baked in little squares of dough. Use a mini muffin tin to create perfect cup-shaped bites.
Roasted Chicken Thighs with Lemon and Oregano
If you need to get turkey off your mind try this recipe from Bon Appetit. The chicken thighs are seasoned and then placed in a skillet until it’s halfway cooked through. Lemon slices are then added to the skillet before it’s placed in the oven. The result is crispy chicken and caramelized lemon slices. To finish off the dish, add white wine and the remaining herbs to the skillet to create a sauce to drizzle over the chicken.

Pie season is in full swing. While we are planning which pies to cook for Thanksgiving our mind turns to classic flavors like apple and pumpkin. This recipe from Bon Appetit pairs cranberry and lime to create a refreshing pie that is also beautiful.
